Here's a post I never thought I'd write. Today I worked as a builders assistant. I felt like I should have been on one of those Channel4 documentaries, where people pretend to be able to do jobs: Boy who likes to sit at a desk and solve maths equations learns the meaning off a hard days grind.
One of the many things my gap year taught me was to have a go and bluff your way through it!! And I successfully managed to present an air of confidence that covered a lack of practical ability - enabling me to return home with cash in hand, knackered and caked in a layer of dust!
