The first reaction is that's the football career over. It's got to be said that if there had been an offer from Man United or a possible England place then this deal would not have happened for at least a couple of years.
But hey, fair play to him. Instead of letting his career just drift away like so many others he's taken a bold move for something quite different. This way he'll keep his reputation and influence and I can think of worse people to be in that position. On an absolutely humongous wage he's taking Brand Beckham to a rare untapped market, and directly or/and indirectly he'll certainly increase the standard of football in the US.
Well, anyway I'll watch with interest to see how it pans out. How long to the shocking sight of America becoming serious contenders for the World Cup???
