WE'RE IN THE QUARTER FINALS OF THE WORLD CUP!!!

It was frustrating, hard work and won't live long in the memory but hey, it's job done. No point playing super football and going home. I'm hoping England's big time players are saving themselves for the big moments. We're in the quarter finals of the World Cup! YES!!!
I liked the formation. Having Rooney makes such a difference and for once we were trying to pass the ball about. It's not spectacular or dramatic but this is the nature of football. Sometimes it'll be end to end and flowing, other times it's all about tactics.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. Well done England.

But Lampard was terrible, Gerard was pretty crap and Carrick was virtually unnoticeable. What's the point in a formation where our centre middfield isn't used?

I'll admit though, this might not be the formation's fault and it might just be that Lampard is terribly out of form.

How late was that Beckham substitution? He should've been brought off sooner because a) he looked very ill b) Lennon looked class.

Hmm, Beckham wonder goal aside, it wasn't the 'performance' that we have been crying out for...

It is fair to say that if we grind out results all the way to trophy, everyone will be ecstatic and noone will be too bothered how it was achieved. But, more likely is that we'll grind out results until we meet someone who is half-decent and they send us home. We are due a 'bit of magic' from some of these overhyped and overpaid players so perhaps, perhaps...

This sounds very negative but I assure I was aiming at someone around 'hopeful'...
