Just got to fill you all in on the last couple of nights of youth groups. Thursday night sees a youth group over in Reculver which normally has a short 'God-slot' in. This week me, Marcus and Beth came up with an ingenious game where we hid lots of balloons in a field. Some of the balloons had parts of a Bible verse in, which the youngsters then had to put together. It was all good, but we had a bit more time at the end than we anticipated. Consequently, we had to do some filling. The only thing was that our filling somehow got round to some deep testimonies on how the Holy Spirit works in people's lives!
As Bono would say, "He moves in mysterious ways."

Friday night D:caff had 50 teenagers turn up. It's always a long and tiring night when there are that many but I only had to tell a few guys to stop smoking out the back. Even managed to get a few games of table tennis in. Slowly but surely, I'm beginning to get the hang of top-spin.

Toddler group this morning with about 30ish excited kids. I actually really enjoy the toddler groups now cos it gives me a chance to be 3 again. ah, the wonders of brio and stickle bricks. I like setting the kids challenges, like who can make the tallest tower or getting them to do a really tough jigsaw. it's what they call fun-filled learning!

The Big Match

It's the big one tonight!!! The one that football fans live for. It's Champions League semi-final time with the mighty Liverpool facing Chelsea. Come on! (and would you believe it, I'm going to be able to watch it. Yes after much grovelling and head scratching we've worked out how to turn our cell group meeting into a highly beneficial inter-cell social evening.) So what an evening in prospect then. Mouthwatering.
Chelsea are at home first so Liverpool need a good defensive performance tonight. It would be great to nick an away goal as well. ooh, the excitement is building already! it's going to be a rollercoaster of a ride of emotions. bring it on.

The final decison has now been made to postpone the 24-7 in Herne Bay. 'Postpone' is the key word though because there are exciting new plans afoot. So watch this space!

Hello all you lovely people of the world. This is my first post on my first ever blog. Hopefully over the coming few weeks, months and years it will serve as a wonderful insight into my world. (Or I might just forget about it in a few days?!)
